Rebel Wilson is a writer, actress, and producer of Australian descent living in New York. She was born on 2nd March 1980 in a humble family. She attended Tara Anglican School for girls and soon after completing high school studies she ventured into her first career choice in mathematics.
Rebel Wilson attended the University of New South Wales where she pursued Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance Studies. At one time, Rebel Wilson worked in South Africa as an ambassador of Australian Rotary International Company.
In South Africa, she contracted malaria, and as a result of its hallucination, she saw herself as an actress who had won an Oscar, a situation which challenged her to pursue an acting career.
In 2002, Wilson joined Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) where she studied for one year before winning the ATYP International scholarship to New York. While in New York she trained with The Second City.
Wilson first came to the public in 2002 after a stage musical presentation in Sydney, The Westie Monologues, which she wrote, starred and produced.

Since then, Wilson has been growing her career featuring in several interesting American films. Recently, she starred in an American satirical romantic comedy, ‟Isn’t It Romantic.” The film was released on 13th February 2019 in America by Warner Bros.

The film is written by Erin Cardillo, Dana Fox, and Katie Silberman and directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson. It also stars Rebel Wilson, Priyanka Chopra, Liam Hemsworth, and Adam DeVine.
The film is of an Australian architect, Natalia who for a long time believed what she has seen on rom-coms was all fantasy. While in subway she faces a robber who she tries to defend herself but accidentally she is knocked out while running for safety.
After waking up, Natalie wakes up and discovers she is in her self-existence in a universe and she must escape every cliché to fall in love again and bring her back to reality.
The film received a positive welcome in America after its release. Based on some survey and brief research conducted to many audiences gave the film an average grade of B on an A+ to F scale.
On Metacritic, the film received an average score of 60 out of 100 based on 31 critics indicating mixed or average reviews. The film was also believed to raise a gross of $ 22 million in 3,300 theaters in its first six-day opening weekend.
