NFL Week 17 Mismatches Are Your Potential Pleasure

The 2016 regular season of the NFL comes to a close with week 17 as we are on the edge of passing onto 2017! This means it’s time for one last day of regular season NFL betting and the last chance to take advantage of some of the biggest mismatches in terms of football odds. One game to keep a special eye on will be the matchup between the Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans. As it stands on Covers.com, the football odds are now at Tennessee -3. The public voting favors Houston at a 62% clip, however, there is more to this game than meets the eye. This game has no impact on the final playoff picture as the Texans will secure the AFC North title even in the event that they lose to the Titans. Nevertheless, there is still much at stake for the Texans as they will need this game to gauge who their quarterback will be in the playoffs between the slumping Brock Osweiler and the green Tom Savage.

Osweiler’s first year as the starting quarterback in Houston has been rough with him having thrown 2 more interceptions than touchdowns in 14 games. Especially troubling has been the Texans’ ability to convert in the red zone with Osweiler at the helm. When the Texans have been inside the opponents’ 20-yard line, they have only scored touchdowns 39.02 percent of the time. This is good for second worst in the league. This can spell an upset in terms of football odds as the Titans are best in the league at converting in the red zone. The Titans have scored from inside the opponents’ 20-yard line 72.34% of the time.

To be sure, the injury to quarterback Marcus Mariota has been a blow to the Titans. But even with backup quarterback Matt Cassel starting, one can expect an advantage for the Titans to convert more in the red zone. In particular, the running game of the Titans has been sharp this season as they have averaged nearly 140 yards per game. The Titans will run the ball more and if they continue their success, one can expect more red zone conversions. And as we know, more conversions very often means scoring more than your opponent. With this in mind, an upset is brewing and you can join in on the fun by placing your NFL bets at Covers.com.

CTRMA Tackles Traffic

Williamson County Growth Summit was an opportunity to structure the conversation around the transportation struggles. Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority was one of the transportation authorities on the panel to discuss the challenges and offer solutions. Mike Heiligenstein, Executive Director, spoke on the panel to voice the concerns and opinions of the CTRMA. The event was held at the Sheraton Georgetown Texas Hotel and focused on how technology was changing the landscape of transportation.

Heiligenstein discussed how new technologies, like driverless cars and ridesharing apps, were changing how people were getting around. He felt like the way to build a strong infrastructure was to make sure to build smarter roads to sustain the growing trends in technology. He felt like roads needed to be built to sustain the growing population and the more demands on the roads. Ideas like the autonomous, driverless, vehicle sparked discussed about the demands it will place on the road and parking structures. Charging stations for newer cars, like electric and hybrid, need to be more readily available.

Other challenges like trying to decrease the volume of traffic, because the growth rate of the population called for the eventual need for 12 lanes on some highways. Other panelists discussed how rideshare apps can be beneficial and subsidies can be offered to help decrease traffic. Traffic has become increasingly more of an issue and simply encouraging or beefing up public transit is no longer a viable option. Williamson County needs to keep up with the current trend in transportation and find ways to decrease the volume of drivers on the road.

Central Texas Regional Mobile Authority is an independent agency that was created with the purpose in mind to improve transportation condition in Williamson and Travis County Texas. Their goal is to think of innovative ways to decrease traffic volume through the use of private and public transportation. The Mobile Authority has a Board of Directors and a small staff. They are created and operate under the state law Texas transportation code chapter 370. They can use funds and implement user fees and taxes to help fund operations.

Comparative Law And Its Relevance To Developing Government Units

Governance is a diverse field that entails the application of distinct laws that describe processes and the actions of different bodies. The development of these laws and integration into a constitution is a process that takes time and resources to execute. While many experts argue that it only takes research to understand the needs of the people, comparing the laws used in one country with the ones available in another could make the constitutional development process easier.

Professionals who specialize in comparative law will agree that getting things done in the right manner takes collecting information from other regions so while developing new laws there can be inclusion of new ideas that can offer better solutions. Comparative law is a field of law that has been around for more than two centuries (comparative law began in the 18th century and was initiated by European scholars, who sought alternative ways of developing laws by incorporating new ideas from laws applied in other regions).

Every government agency that takes into account the fact that the world has become a small village would also consider getting laws that are designed to offer quick solutions to international problems. One of the countries that have taken comparative law seriously is China, which has been working with law experts to ensure all the laws that are developed match with the needs of the partner countries they trade with or engage in social projects.

Through this effort, China has been able to rank among the best countries to trade with and their partnerships have been growing each day. China studies the laws used in other nations to analyze the effect such laws could have to governance and economic advancement. Comparative law is a field the country invests in to allow professionals to understand how China can adjust its laws to offer a better ground for partnerships.

Bob Reina: Real and Organic

In today’s day and age, it is very hard to find people that are coming from the heart. It is easy to spot the phonies out there as there are plenty of them. They usually lay on the charm very thick and they like to play games with people. That is how they operate and that is how they have gotten by in their own lives. They are what is called a wolf in sheep’s clothing. They might appear to be a nice man or a nice woman, but they have motives. It is only a matter of time before someone figures them out.

As far as Bob Reina, the founder and CEO of Talk Fusion, is concerned, he is as real as it gets.  Not only does he love people, but he also loves animals. He is a true animal lover, as evidenced by his donation to the Tampa Bay Humane Society, which was record breaking. Things like this don’t happen every day for animals.

Even with a successful product like Talk Fusion, which has video newsletters, video emails, video conferences, and video chats, he is still giving back by allowing people the chance to try it out for thirty days. It has changed the lives of a great number of people, but he still wants people to try it out. A lot of people need a little reassurance and they need to have a hands-on approach. This allows them to have it and see what it is about and then they can keep it if they like it.

If they decide to keep it, maybe they can quit that job that has drained them and sucked the life out of them. Maybe they can use everything that Talk Fusion has and start up their own business, set their own hours, work in their PJ’s, and be completely comfortable all of the time without anything blocking them.

THE FACE BEHIND THE NAME: A BRIEF LOOK AT FILM PRODUCER AND HUMAN RIGHT ACTIVIST THOR HALVORSSEN

Some of you might already know of this name. Thor Halvorssen is of Venezuelan decent. He is known for his two main contributions. As stated in the title, he is both a human rights activist and a film producer.

When it comes to civil rights, you name it, he has done it. He has been involved in everything from civil liberties to pro-democracy. He has been an advocate for pretty much anything you could ever imagine. He remains to this day a strong advocate for public policy. Thor believes in liberty and freedom for everyone. Have you ever heard of a group called the Oslo Freedom Forum? It’s an annual event that happens. It’s all about liberty and individual civil liberties. It’s so big each year, that it’s on its way to becoming side-by-side with the Devos Forum. The Devos Forum is a human rights event platform that also happens each year. Thor puts it all together and presides over it.

Much of Thor’s ambition comes from what happened to him during his early years.

“Going through something like this at a very early age, it has a major impact on one’s life. It makes you fight harder for the injustices in the world. It makes you want to route for the underdog. My father was investigated and imprisoned when I was in college. My mother was shot during a rally. It changes you and your outlook on life.”

Thor Halvorssen has been widely praised by the New York Times, as well as written for it. He has also written for The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post, as well as others.

“When it comes to being a human rights activist, you really do have to speak up. You have to speak your mind, even if no one agrees with you. You are in this fight to make the world a better place.”

You can find out more about him by going to one of his special interest groups sites.

Norka Luque Showcase: The Destiny in Music

Norka Luque believes that she comes from one of the most blessed families in the world. She has realized her experiences, cultures, and life lessons point towards her music destiny. Therefore, her understanding is inclined towards a music career. During her showcase, she said that her past life is an accurate reflection of what she has become today.

The Venezuelan singer burst into the world of music with energetic talent by the help of the legendary producer Emilio Estefan. Her album “Milagro” was presented during the showcase. The word emanates from Latin to mean the purest mindset of success through miracles. For the record, she was brought together by Emilio with a group of producers to develop her first album. The Ricardo brothers, Archie Pena, and Alberto Gaitan were some of the members behind the album.

According to Norka Luque, the only thing that took too long to determine is the genre of the music. For them, the style appeared to be a mixture of pop, ballad, blues, and rhythm.

Norka loved singing. While she was a child, she could sing whenever she had personal stress. Her mother noted the talent in her. For this reason, the decided to take her to a music school to develop the talent. Norka decided to pursue her dreams. When Norka was young, she never slept until her mother played music. This was the only thing that could lure her to sleep. They struggled to bring home the best genres of music for their child. When Norka finished high school, she went to France to pursue her university education. While in the University of France, she knew that her dream was in music. Therefore, she decided to engage herself in activities that reflected her future. She got an opportunity to join the Bad Moon Rising band in France where she sang as a soloist. The people liked her vocals and extended numerous invitations to various nightclubs in Paris.

Norka finished her studies and went back to the United States. For over four years, she waited for an opportunity to meet with a producer. When she met with the legendary music producer Emilio Estefan, she knew that her prayers were answered. She presented her work to Emilio who in turn liked the spirit in the young talent. He extended an invitation to the studio.

George Soros Finally Reveals His Feelings About Anti-Semitism

In 2010, Hendrik Hertzberg had commented on Fox News attacking George Soros particularly Glen Beck. There were ads using soundtracks of thumping hearts and a superimposed Jewish star. There were clips and soundbites from George Soros interviews claiming that his mother was antisemitic. The heartbeat grew louder and louder. George Soros is touted as a liberal and anti-totalarian. He’s a hedge fund investor. Soros was considered a puppet for the Nazis and used the Jewish community by ticking them to play into the hands of the Nazis during the days of the Holocaust on Politico. Glen Beck’s tirade is nothing new, the Hungarian government has been ridiculing Soros with these slurs for many years.

Soros was born Schwartz György. He was an adolescent during the Holocaust era. Soros’ father, a lawyer, managed to falsify family documents to hide the fact that they were Jews. Members of Fox News and Glen Beck think that Soros was a double agent who was really controlled by the Nazis to help them exterminate the Jewish community. Soros was a messenger for the Nazis back in 1944. Beck accuses Soros of being a tool for the Nazis, like a puppet hanging from strings by a puppeteer who makes the puppet move any way he wants it to. Today, Soros will not defend his accusations and seems to not care at all that he is being accused of antisemitism. It doesn’t matter if charges are coming from Fox News or from his homeland of Hungary. He will not stand up and defend himself against the anti-semitism allegations. It gives people the idea that perhaps he really is antisemitic rather than feeling like he has to defend himself against something he thinks is crazy.

Read more: Glenn Beck’s Ridiculous Misreading of George Soros Might Not Be As Inappropriate As Busting a 14-Year-Old’s Balls for How He Behaved During the Holocaust, But It Still Sets Back the Cause of Human Understanding

Soros was a messenger for the Budapest Jewish Council, an organization for aging Jews who were terrified of the Nazis. The organization believed that if they could keep the Jewish members calm and if the people followed the rules of the Gestapo, maybe their lives would be spared. George Soros alerted the Jews to report to certain collection points around the city. Soros’s father urged his son to resist the rules of the Gestapo. Tivadar Soros didn’t follow rules and owed his family’s survival by doing all he could do to hide the Jewishness of his family. Even though people believed that following rules would spare them the gas chamber, it never worked out. Those people who changed their names and Jewish affiliation were the ones who were spared.

George Soros was accused of bringing down governments. He fought to help bring down communist governments in favor of commonwealths. During the Reagan administration, Soros created an Open Society on project-syndicate.org.

Sometimes his mouth got him in trouble when Soros said that anti-semitism was the cause of the policies between Israel and The United States. Soros admitted he is of the Jewish faith.
